How it to overcome?
You work hard to reach perfection? It is often dissatisfied with itself? You despair when you hear criticism in the address? If something is impossible, accuse itself, feel inutile, confused, defective? You consider, what to make something well needs to be made it most?

If (or a little) from these questions you have answered one "yes", most likely, you are the Extremist. But you such not one. The majority of Teenagers presently feel something similar, especially those who has talents or it is good to study. But what joins in this concept and what good or bad in maximalism?
The maximalism - diligence to bring to perfection all affairs; uncontrollable aspiration all to carry out perfectly well, without defects, errors and misses. Still it name «a syndrome of the honours pupil». The extremist can think that errors are inadmissible. Representations about success at it are deformed. Also that the most bad, as a result the teenager is constantly irritable, tests sense of guilt, pessimism, has food frustration, and it leads to depression. Some because of such propensity at all do not want to start study or tasks which need to be executed as are confident that at them not that it not to turn out, and others on the contrary use the best efforts and not possible to execute the aim laid down for them.
Certainly, it is important to be skilful, diligent and to feel satisfaction by itself. And it is correct - split-hair accuracy in study, and after both work, and skill always appreciate. But it is very important to be counterbalanced and not to exhaust myself not with the necessary requirements which frequently ourselves show ourselves. And the following some councils will help you with it.
Council 1. Think about a word meaning "success". Trying to be better than others, the person only exhausts itself. It also is senseless how to chase a wind. Always there will be the one who will make something better you. But be not upset, after all the success is when you do everything that can, instead of try to make it better others.
Council 2. Be realistic. When you aspire to make something consider not only the abilities and abilities, but also the restrictions. To put before itself the overestimated requirements - a sign of high self-conceit. So, do not expect from itself impossible. Apply all forces for achievement of the purposes, but do not aim at perfection.
Council 3. See the matter easier. Start to do that you are not able, for example, learn to play one of musical instruments. Simply relax. And you will have a possibility to look on situation in a new fashion - having applied those councils about which has learnt. You will see that errors is one of parts of process of training.
Council 4. Do not think of the bad. If to concentrate on negative it will break your internal spirit. Think positively, and it will help you to get new friends. If you will be more patient and to think first of all of others then it will be much more pleasant to people to communicate with you.
Council 5. Do not postpone. Postponing affairs in «a long box» you you will be nervous and worry even more that you can not execute that is necessary. To cope with this problem simply appoint to itself term to task execution.
The maximalism is a mood of mind of the person so, will correct at once it hardly.
